A road and walkway running along the gorge allows visitors to have unique views from the trail and the mountainside. This is one of Tohoku’s must popular sightseeing spots.

Watch in awe as the locals display their skills in balancing two long bamboo poles formed into a cross shape mounted with 24 or 46 lit lanterns, as they parade down the streets to the beat of the drums. This magnificent parade of lights is a powerful, nostalgic scene – it’s truly a sight to behold!
