Tour around popular sightseeing spots in Hiroshima, Miyajima and Kurashiki. This is a round-trip tour from Kyoto. Visit the World Heritage Sites of Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima and Hiroshima’s Atomic Bomb Dome on Day 1. On Day 2, visit the popular Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter and Okayama Korakuen, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. 

DAY 1 Kyoto – Hiroshima – Miyajima – Hiroshima

Pickup services are available from selected hotels in Kyoto. Travel to Hiroshima Station by Shinkansen bullet train, travel to Miyajimaguchi by bus then take the ferry to Miyajima Island. 

Miyajima, Itsukushima Shrine
Itsukushima Shrine is a World Heritage Site. Established in the 6th century it is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a noble’s residence in the Heian period). See the vermillion shrine sitting in a lush environment facing the deep blue sea and enjoy the picturesque beauty. Lunch is on your own.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park & Museum
This large-scale park was established in 1949 after the Pacific War ended, and is visited by countless visitors as a symbol of peace. The museum within the park is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and was built to remind future generations of the terror wrought by atomic bombs.

Atomic Bomb Dome
The Atomic Bomb Dome is a symbol of the disastrous atomic bombing during WWII, the first atomic bombs used in human history, and has been preserved as it was to promote peace and elimination of atomic weapons around the world.

Arrive at Hiroshima Hotel
Overnight stay.  

DAY 2 Hiroshima – Kurashiki – Okayama – Kyoto 

This morning, travel to Shin-Kurashiki by Shinkansen bullet train.

Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
Stroll through many of the original storehouses that have been preserved from the Edo and Meiji Periods.

Enjoy lunch.

Ohara Museum of Art
Not only the collection of modern and western art, but the ancient Greek architecture and the ivy-covered stone walls also attract many visitors.

Travel by from Kyoto to Okayama by local train. 

Okayama Korakuen Garden
Visit one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, and represents the Genroku Culture of the early Edo Period.

Travel by Shinkansen bullet train from Okayama to Kyoto where the tour will conclude early evening.
