Guided Walk to Tokyo’s Best Cherry Blossom Spots & Sumida River Nighttime Cherry Blossom Cruise (GDT1J02021MKS)

Enjoy seeing cherry blossoms on this tour accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter to Ueno Park, selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom spots in Japan. Also, board a Sumida River cherry blossom viewing boat in the evening for a nighttime cruise.

Opened in 1906, Shinjuku Gyoen is a Japanese garden created for the Imperial Family. The garden – which is skillfully comprised of a formal garden, a landscape garden, and a Japanese garden – is an iconic modern European-style garden from the Meiji period (1868-1912) and is considered a masterpiece among the few landscape gardens in Japan. The garden features 1,000 cherry blossom trees of about 65 types, plum trees, azaleas, Yoshino cherry, and many other colorful blossoms.

The Sumida River nighttime cherry blossom cruise departs from Asakusa and lasts for about 45 minutes. Cherry blossoms bloom brilliantly on both sides of the Sumida River. A light bento box meal (Japanese cuisine) made specially for nighttime cherry-blossom-viewing boat rides will be served on board. Select 1 drink from non-alcoholic beverages, beer, or canned chuhai (shochu highball).

While viewing cherry blossoms, enjoy a sakura mochi snack, a spring specialty. Admire the beauty and savor the taste of Japan’s cherry blossoms.
